too much time on my hands now
Why is it that 90%* of all songs written are about relationships and that’s perfectly fine, yet when visual art dips into that realm it’s deemed silly and teenaged and cliche? Okay, so it may not be public opinion, but it’s a general feeling that I’ve picked up. I feel like contemporary art must be about something world changing to be considering “worthy” (whatever that means). What if I don’t want to make art that is about the greater scope of the world? What if I just want to make art about that world that’s inside myself that no one ever sees?
This is quickly becoming a deformed mess of blog post.
