a taste of what I’ve been doing
The second series of screenprint monoprints. Each monoprint has 8-10 colors. A new method to making films – monotyping using an open screen & black ink onto duralar and true grain films. Produces really great organic shapes, textures &c.

My first editioned print of the semester, no title yet. I’m really happy with this. Not the end all be all, but it’s really exciting to find a process that works for me. Used the same films that I used for the monoprints above, but started cutting them up and taping them together. Many thanks to Nick for the suggestions.

First CMYK screenprint. A half-size test for the Justice poster that I’m going to print. Just trying to get the color separations & inks right. I’ve got a little tweaking to do, but I’m pretty pleased with it.
I shot all of these today using the little set up for my GD Senior Seminar. You can see the rest of what I shot (including some older prints and design work) here.
Productive day despite waking up a full two hours later than I wanted to. Screenprinted five colors, made a late lunch, gathered things to photograph, photographed them, made copies for my next litho print and spent an ungodly amount of time looking at/uploading/tagging the photos that I took.
I’ve spent just about every weekend since the semester started screenprinting or printing in some way shape or form. Wouldn’t change a thing.
Jason, assuming you really do read this as often as you say…Are you happy now? I’ve posted. And there are images of new work. It’s your turn!
