Spoke too soon!
Quick, who did what?

New collage exchange between Stephanie Tsong and myself.
Who doesn’t love getting messages like these?
Steph: YO i just got the mail and it’s awesome so far. i’m gonna work on it a little bit tonight and then maybe some time this weekend if i get really plastered. <3 ps – i’m sending it in a used LP box so don’t be alarmed when something twice its size comes in the mail.
#3.2, from Jason back to me
#4.1 from Jason to me
These are the newest additions to the collage exchange repertoire. I have yet to receive them, but I’m already excited to work on them.
Everything else on my plate has been going slowly. I’ve found myself in back in the new job cycle where every day after work I feel too exhausted to do anything. It takes so long for me to get back into the swing of things that by the time I reach that point, there’s already a big change on the horizon. Next thing I know, I have a new job and I have to struggle through this lethargy all over again. I’ve been trying really hard to stay on top of making artwork and products to sell on etsy, but there is only so much I can do before I burn out.
I’ve agreed to TAing another class this semester, though clearly that isn’t possible since I’ve been working 9–5 (ish). My solution to that was to offer weekend hours where I’d be in the shop to help students from the class. This way, I’ll be in the shop, hopefully working on my own work and still available if anyone needs help. A solution where everyone wins! I’ve been talking about making etching and lithos forever it seems, and it’ll be beyond good to actually start doing it.
In other news, I sent my application to Tamarind on Wednesday! Here’s the proof!

I’ve got my fingers crossed until I hear back from them!

This is the newest piece that I sent to Jason for our collage exchange. I’m really excited to see what Jason adds to it!
Not a lot has happened this week. Shameful, I know, but I just started a new (temp) job as an administrative assistant at MICA. You know how things go when you start a new job. I did manage to work on some logo comps for OVAC and will be posting some in progress shots of that soon. Working on films for my new cards right now, I’m hoping to get those done and burned before the weekend is up.
Here are the final products of our first two collages. I felt so bad about having these for so long without sending them back to Jason that I made and sent another collage this week.
Crazy things are happening over here (I’ll elaborate more on this later), so I’ve got to keep this short. More soon!

I love this project so far. It’s a surprise every time.
#1.1, From Jason to me
According to the USPS, Jason should be getting this back along with a new collage sometime today. Once he scans it, I’ll post it here (and here)!
